I’m trying to enjoy as much of NYC as I can before I move.  While I just moved back to the area last week; chances are that my stay will be short lived.  Sometimes I feel bad for being born in NYC. The scale of everything else is just not the same.  It takes more for me to appreciate a city, you know? Being that New York is a super megatropolis. If you haven’t been to NYC before, I highly recommend it. It’s exceptionally safe here now, comparatively speaking, and there’s no other place like it in the world.

In my quest to enjoy the city, I was wondering around the village and found this street vendor called, Calexico.  You need to go there, its on the corner of Wooster and Prince streets and they’re open mondays through saturdays 11am to 4, or until they run out of food.  Authentic Tex-Mex food from a street vendor in New York.  Apparently the owner’s mom is from Calexico and they grew up  with a thirst for home.  Well, I’ll tell you one thing, their unique marinaded meats fit in well here in the city.  The taste is big and there’s really no comparison.  I’ve been to sit down restaurants and payed twice as much for a quesedilla, but I’ve never has one quite as good as Calexico.  Next time you’re in the city check ‘em out.  Peace.

feel like you’re being watched?

I was on the boardwalk the other day and I spied a ‘hidden’ video camera.  I know they were installed for safety and what not, but the amount of cameras I’ve seen recently is quite disturbing.  I mean, back in the days things were safer, and there were less violent crimes, but we didn’t have no damn cameras looking at folks 24/7, you know?  Kinda makes you wonder what the cameras are really for?
