i love you like everything

i love you like everything
i love you like sunlight through stainedglass
i love you like summer sunsets after 8
i love you like saturday lazy naps
i love you like unopened presents
i love you like lotto winnings
i love you like kool aid smiles
i love you like hot food
like iced tea,
choclolate
tropical music melodies
the smell of the ocean as you near the beach
raindrops
flowers
ladybugs
like homade chicken noodle soup
sweet potato pie
like cinnmon apple maple raisin syrup spread
on hot cross buns baked with nutmeg and honey brown sugar,
like snowflakes and babies
like songbirds and the smell of leather
like an all of a sudden breeze,
like walking barefoot while blades of grass lick morning dew between your toes
like
like everything
i love you like everything

close

we’re going away
it costs more than i hoped
who cares, we’ll be close.

shooting while driving

I was playing around the other night while driving throught the parking lot known as the holland tunnel, and I had my camera so why not take some pics?  Here are the results.

I’m actually on my honeymoon right now, so I’ll be going to a more photoblog mode and posting alot more pics.  I hoped that my wife and I would be able to blog from Paris, ’cause that would be cool but I’m not sure we’ll be able to do that.  Besides, its our Honeymoon I’m sure we’ll be occupied.

At any rate, I’e been going back through some of my old photos and discovering some cool images.  The ones below are from July 11, 2004.  I used to live in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn.  Right next to Red Hook. What most don’t know is that on Sunday afternoons Redhook tunrs into soccer central.  There are about two to three simulataneous matches going on.  In addition there are tons of vendors who come out and sell all types of traditional south american and mexican food.  It’s really like being in a different country, there’s soccer and food and speactators; its pretty awesome.  Me and my fiance used to go to church and then go to the redhook soccer matches and get tacos, it was a perfect sunday.

p.s. this post is dedicated to my cousins who as of late have become big soccer fans.  PEACE.

Our wedding Day!

Tyese, I love you more than anything else in the world.  You are my best friend and I could not have picked a better partner to ride life’s roller coaster with.  It would take a life time to repay you for all the things you’ve contributed to my life;  funny enough, thats just what I have to give to you.  Let’s celebrate our forever.  I love you TT.

a wedding haiku for tyese

can’t wait to see you
in a long white wedding dress
standing next to me

gunk haiku

tyese i love you
you clean the gunk from my eyes
when i forget to

would you love me?

would you love me if I went crazy?
stark raving mad
would you look into my glazed over
heavily medicated blank stare and think of times
when all I needed was to look into your eyes to go crazy

would you love me if I went broke?
can’t buy no food flat broke
would you look across our sparsely furnished table
and realize how rich we were to have each other

would you love me if I had parkinson’s?
like Muhammad Ali parkinson’s
would you ask me if I still loved you
and laugh knowing that I do; eventhough I said ‘NO’ by raising my left
eyebrown and looking at you funny, using all the motor skills I could
muster.

would you love me if i was lost?
couldn’t find my way in life lost
would you look at my confusion
and know that the steadfastedness of your love is my compass and guide

’cause eventhough I might be crazy, deranged, sick, broke, poor,
lost and/or confused; I’ll never ever stop loving you.
